Communication Specialist

AECOM International Development, a U.S. based consulting firm, is seeking a short-term qualified Communication Specialist to support its work under a regional donor-funded climate change adaptation project implemented from Bangkok Office. This position will perform the following tasks:

• Develop Outreach and Communication materials such as promotional materials (handouts, brochures, PowerPoint presentations);
• Develop and implement a social media strategy for the project;
• Support and as needed lead the development and publication of project reports and deliverables;
• Work alongside Management and Team Leaders in conceptualizing, delivering and reporting on project events ;
• Provide quality control on adherence to USAID branding on project publications, deliverables, and publications;

Required Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in journalism, communications and outreach, international development or related field;
• At least 7 years of demonstrated professional experience in journalism, communications, development, climate change adaptation and specifically in production and publication;
• Familiarity with the USAID Branding Guidelines;
• Experience in developing success stories, press-releases and other communication materials for USAID projects;
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills;Ability to multitask and complete tasks in a timely fashion;
• English Speaker with excellent oral and written communication skills;
• Proficient with computer applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, etc.);
• Working on an international donor-funded program is a plus.
