About Sinergia Animal
Rated as one of the world’s most effective animal protection organizations by Animal Charity Evaluators, Sinergia Animal is an international campaigning organization working in countries in the Global South (specifically Latin America and Southeast Asia) to reduce animal suffering and promote more compassionate food choices.
We use negotiations, investigations, peaceful direct actions, and innovative campaigning methods to expose the suffering of farmed animals and to help build a world in which no animals are exploited for food.
About the position
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Manager of Programs to join our Thailand team. In this role, you will lead or help supervise a talented team and oversee programs that make a real impact. You’ll take care of strategic alignment, track key goals and metrics, ensure projects are carried out in line with their defined deadlines and scope, and work closely with the local Managing Director to keep everything running smoothly. Responsibilities
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Overseeing daily operations, setting clear strategies, deadlines, and expectations, and ensuring team members have the resources and support they need to succeed.
Conducting regular performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Participating in hiring new program staff, ensuring a smooth recruitment process, and providing comprehensive induction and orientation to integrate new team members effectively.
Developing and implementing professional development initiatives: offering training, coaching, and mentorship to enhance team skills, boost motivation, and strengthen overall performance.
Working closely with the Managing Director to align local strategies with organizational goals. Acting as a strategy ambassador, ensuring that the local team is fully engaged with and committed to the organization’s mission and priorities.
Providing strategic direction to ensure effective execution of program activities. Supporting the team and Managing Director in achieving project goals, overcoming challenges, optimizing impact, and meeting deadlines.
Monitoring key performance indicators, analyzing data, and proactively adjusting strategies when necessary to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Tracking program objectives and providing regular updates, impact reports, and strategic insights to the Managing Director and Impact and Strategy Director to inform decision-making.
Managing program budgets, ensuring responsible financial planning, and reviewing and approving requisitions, advances, and expenses in compliance with organizational policies and best practices.
Upholding and enforcing organizational policies and procedures, ensuring that all activities adhere to ethical standards, legal requirements, and internal guidelines.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess most, if not all, of the following qualities, skills, and characteristics:
Highly committed, self-motivated, and detail-oriented, with a strong sense of accountability and the ability to take initiative in driving projects forward.
Capable of working autonomously with minimal supervision, demonstrating excellent time management and decision-making skills.
Able to manage multiple priorities, work effectively under tight deadlines, and remain solution-focused in fast-paced environments.
Analytical thinker with a proactive approach to identifying challenges and implementing effective solutions.
Proven ability to manage complex projects, track progress efficiently, and maintain high levels of organization in daily operations.
Experience or desire to learn how to lead and inspire teams, foster collaboration, and ensure high performance through effective mentorship and guidance.
Fluency in your country’s official language and advanced to fluent English.
Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and persuasively across diverse audiences.
Strong ability to build relationships, work collaboratively with different stakeholders, and navigate cross-cultural environments with sensitivity and professionalism.
Prior experience working in an international or multicultural setting, with an understanding of cultural nuances and diverse work dynamics.
Solid experience in planning, executing, and overseeing projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and delivering measurable impact.
Passion for social change, advocacy, and the organization’s mission.
Previous experience in campaigning and professional comms strategies is highly desirable.
