Civil Society Partnerships Project – Call for Applications

 

Position:      Communications Officer

Posting:       Located in Khon Kaen, Thailand

Report to:    Business Manager

 

The Khon Kaen University Center for Civil Society and Nonprofit Management (CSNM) is recruiting for highly qualified and motivated persons to work on the USAID-funded Civil Society Partnerships Project. The Project goal is to develop the capacity and networks among CSOs in the Lower Mekong Sub-region to increase their effectiveness in mobilizing their constituents to improve local governance.

 

In order to implement the project smoothly, CSNM is looking for skilled, dynamic and self-motivated persons to fill in the position of Communications Officer.

 

Job Purpose: To delivery of full communication functions

 

Roles and Responsibility:

 

  • Develop an integrated communications strategy for the organization (CSNM/CSPP) incorporating PR, Marketing and Online.
  • Implement communications plans to increase brand awareness and recognition for the organization.
  • Develop relationships with key media to secure and grow media coverage both online and offline.
  • Develop social media content for CSNM/CSPP: website, face-book etc.
  • Write CSNM/CSPP press releases for local and national media.
  • Adapt CSNM press releases for international syndication ensuring stories translate to differing international markets.
  • Monitor press stories relating to the organization and its brand and maximizing opportunities for positive PR and playing down any negative PR.
  • Collate and analyze current communications and messages and ensuring consistency.
  • Develop and lead the CSNM’s internal communication strategy across Thailand and LMS Countries
  • Other duties consistent with the overall focus of the assignment as assigned by the Business Manager.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • A bachelor degree in Communications, Journalism, or a related field
  • 2-5 years general communications experience
  • Good interpersonal skills and personality
  • Excellent written and spoken English language skills
  • Excellent computer skills especially in publication/presentation software
  • Skills related to print production, PR, audio/video production, website development
  • Good IT knowledge skills will be advantage

 

This position is open to Thai Citizens only.
