The Foundation for Local Development (FLD) is a registered non-profit organisation based in Chiang Mai, providing training, management and consultancy services for community development initiatives in southeast Asia, with funding secured to stimulate SMEs in the agricultural and food security sectors across conflict-affected areas of southeastern Myanmar.
Position Summary: This position coordinates interventions across five agencies to deliver program objectives on time, within budget, and in compliance with donor requirements. Requires experience in project management, strengthening livelihoods, and cross-cultural communication with Thai, Karen, Burmese and international stakeholders. Reports directly to FLD's Interim Director.
Duties: Coordinate synergies between FLD consortium partners for effective, timely, cost-effective delivery; oversee assessment of market systems, SME strengthening, and enabling policy environment; liaise with donors on reporting, grant compliance, and proactive risk communication; supervise MEAL staff and activities; work closely with FLD's Finance Manager on project finances and procurement; promote GEDSI and conflict sensitivity.
Qualifications: Experience in business administration, project cycle management, MEAL systems, and donor reporting preferred; food security/enterprise development experience in conflict-affected communities in southeastern Myanmar preferred; cross-cultural communication with Thai, Karen, Burmese and international stakeholders; Thai citizenship or eligibility for a Thai work permit required.
Salary: THB 40,000/month
Duration: Full-time, two-year contract (possible extension)
