URGENTLY REQUIRED
Programme Social Worker
Catholic Office for Emergency Relief and Refugees (COERR), a Thai NGO under the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Thailand (CBCT) was established in 1978 for the purpose of bringing aid to displaced persons in Thailand and those affected by natural disasters.
COERR is urgently looking for an experienced personnel to fill the post of Programme Social Worker, based in Bangkok.
TERMS OF REFERENCE
1. Conduct extensive reviews and assessments of socioeconomic conditions, vulnerability, needs and problems through interviews, home visits/assessments, and collateral investigations, to assigned cases. Make report and submit to Social Services Supervisor for review and comment.
2. Identify individual and family cases who are considered the most vulnerable, most dependent/helpless, most neglected, and those least able to help themselves and unable to find other sources of support or survival as priority for recommendation for provision of assistance.
3. Assist Senior Social Services Supervisor develop strategies, formulate treatment plans, in identifying interventions to address individual’s, family cases’ needs and problems.
4. Collaborate and coordinate with other service providers in understanding the dynamics of refugee cases handled, their needs and problems, and discuss and seek approval in implementing interventions or making referrals.
5. Submit individual case reports, monthly narrative and statistics reports of cases handled. Keep and maintain case records and files and confidentiality at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS
Thai nationality.
Bachelor degree of social work or other related fields with counseling psychology background.
At least 2 years work experience in social services. Good networking skill is essential.
Open-mindedness, flexible and has the ability to cope with stressful situations and clients.
Ability to work under pressure and strong teamwork.
Good spoken, written and comprehension of English language with experience in a
multi-cultural environment.
Good computer skills (Word, Excel and MS office family)
