The Post Emergency Review (PER)

Closing date

13 September 2019

Greetings from the IPPF – SPRINT Project!

The SPRINT Initiative, a Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) Programme in Humanitarian Settings, is a programme funded by the Australian Government and implemented by the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF). It works in 15 countries across 3 regions, namely South Asia, South East Asia and Oceania.

As part of the monitoring and evaluation process, a Post Emergency Review (PER) has been developed for SPRINT to examine its effectiveness in emergency responses, in particular to the earthquakes and tsunami inLombok and Central Sulawesi, which was implemented through our Member Association, the Planned Parenthood Association (IPPA). The review aims to specifically address the effectiveness of the support and emergency funding, as well as evaluate the overall Minimum Initial Service Package (MISP) response and impact on the affected communities. The review will result in programme learning and the findings will be used to improve future implementation and management of emergency responses.

  About the SPRINT Project:

SPRINT is designed to address gaps in MISP implementation for reproductive health in emergencies. The overall goal of the SPRINT programme is to improve health outcomes of crisis affected populations by reducing preventable sexual and reproductive health morbidity and mortality. The programme’s purpose is to increase timely access for crisis affected populations to life-saving sexual and reproductive health services.
