Initiated in August 2018, the Together Activity, funded by the USAID Regional Development Mission for Asia (RDMA) and implemented by DAI Global, LLC (DAI), is a four-year USD 14 million Activity that supports civil society organizations (CSOs) and the Royal Thai Government (RTG) to deepen constructive dialogue between citizens and government, leading to actions that address citizens’ priorities and grievances and reduce drivers of latent and violent conflict. Together works closely with government to strengthen its capacity to listen to, understand and communicate with citizens— especially women, youth, and minorities—thus increasing its ability to address issues of concern to citizens and strengthen social inclusion and cohesion. At the same time, Together collaborates with CSOs to improve their capacity to advocate for public interests and work with government to develop effective solutions to common problems. Through its partnerships and activities, Together expands the space for dialogue and reconciliation, and facilitates the growth of attitudes, networks and mechanisms that nurture peace, tolerance and just governance.

We are looking for qualified people who are highly motivated and competent to work with our teams in Bangkok and Songkhla. The period of employment for the positions is for three years with possibility of extension.

Program Development Officer – Based in Songkhla Office

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of Together activities.
• Ensure consistent approach, procedures and activities across the focus area, and clear expectations regarding project direction and use of resources among partners.
• Work closely with government and NGO partners, ensure completion of implementation plans in accordance with relevant budgets and regulations.
• Monitor and report on project activities.
• For position in Songkhla office, successful candidate is expected to be able to travel to southern border provinces - Pattani, Yala, and Narathiwat.

Qualifications:

• University degree in political science, sociology or other relevant fields.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in local, regional and national programs addressing public policy and government systems, governance, media, social inclusion and gender issues.
• Experience working with local government, universities and NGOs.
• English and Thai fluency required.
