Reporting to the Senior Technical Advisor Strategic Information and M&E, Asia Pacific, the Database Manager, will (1) develop data collection architecture and relational management systems across FHI 360 and donor reporting systems and indicators; (2) develop and implement procedures for effective data collection, management, access, and analyses; (3) regularly evaluate information and data systems to enhance analytical results; and (4) ensure generation and access to robust program analytic datasets for interpretation and response.
The Database Manager will investigate, create and develops new data management methods and technologies for projects in the Asia Pacific region advancement and optimization. S/he will provide technical guidance on information systems for quality improvement, as well as best practices in documentation and reporting. This may include system administration, troubleshooting, analysis, testing, research, training, general problem solving, technical support, and testing/deployment of new systems and databases; designing and implementing back-up, recovery, archiving, conversion strategies, and performance tuning; and developing database standards, policies and procedures.
The position shall be based in Bangkok, Thailand.
