Asia Regional Senior Program Support Specialist- CIV

Job Summary

The Senior Program Support Specialist – CIV will provide subject matter expertise regarding the design and implementation of interventions not covered by other program support specialists in the national office.  Depending on the staffing, these interventions may include WaSH, infrastructure, disaster response, income generation, parental education and similar activities.  This role will collaborate with other Support Specialists, Program Trainers and the Partnership team to ensure Compassion staff and Implementing Church Partners are collaborating in the design, delivery and monitoring of interventions related to their expertise. 

Essential Job Functions

The Program Support Specialist – CIV will:

1) serve as a SME to leadership in developing national intervention strategies; 

2) collaboratively design / plan interventions aligned with the national strategy;

3) support implementation and reporting of interventions;

4) stay current with national policies, industry standards and best field practices;

5) develop and maintain networks for partnerships, strategic alliances and local resource mobilization; and 

6) use programmatic data to improve intervention effectiveness;

7) Understand the other funding needs to achieve holistic child development outcomes and mobilize resources (both Compassion and non-Compassion) to meet those needs. 

8) Coach and provide expertise and may oversee the work of other staff.

Prerequisites

• Mature Christian person, based on evangelical Christian values, has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and is above reproach in integrity and honesty.

• Ideally ministry experience with churches as partners.  But other partnership management experience will be relevant and acceptable
• Work experience & Education -10 -12 years’ experience working in this or similar position or field. Relevant education in this field would be preferable.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision
• Work environment - Office – Standard Office Environment
• Physical demands -Sitting, standing, and/or walking for up to 8 hours per day
• Travel requirements -May be required to travel up to 10-15% of normal schedule
