Country Accountant Assistant (based in Bangkok)
Plan is an international humanitarian, child centred development organisation, implementing development programs that promote the realisation and fulfilment of children’s rights and the alleviation of child poverty.
Position: Country Accountant Assistant
Assignment Type: Permanent
Location: Based in Bangkok
Job background: The Country Accountant Assistant will contribute to Country Finance functions in 2 important areas. Firstly,this position will ensure timely submission and accurate accounting documents to National Offices who will then submit this important work to donors. Secondly,this position will be the key role in effective accounting management and especially coordination with Head Office and other Country Offices in the inter-company accounting and clearing. Timely accounting of costs to Plan Thailand from this intercompany transactions will avoid delayed charging to project or ended grant time.
Job purpose: Sent out Inter-company Charges (Recharges) before monthly cut-offs with proper insurance of IC forms • Bookkeeping the incoming Inter-Company Charges from other offices after verification and approval • Prepare invoice lists with scanned documents to requesting National offices • Support month end closing process of Balance sheets, such as clearing Prepaid items, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, Withholding tax filing, Staff advance etc. • Assist monthly Bank reconciliation exercise • Perform various accounting adjustment as assigned •Assist CO Accountant in preparing monthly Subsidiary Ledger report • Assist prepare Quarterly report pack ; KPI report, Year End report pack to Head office • Prepare statutory financial reporting to government offices • Other tasks assigned by CO Accountant and Finance Director
Qualifications, Skills & Experience: Citizen of Thailand • Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Business Administration • Experience at least three years in accounting and A/R functions preferred • Experience working with NGOs fund accounting • SAP experience is an advantage • Strong organization skills • SAP General Ledger module • Good English communication skill • Be a good team player • Service Minded.
