URGENTLY REQUIRED
SENIOR SOCIAL SERVICES SUPERVISOR
COERR FOUNDATION, A Thai NGO assisting the displaced persons in Thailand and those affected by natural disasters, is urgently looking for an experienced personnel to fill the post of Senior Social Services Supervisor, based in Bangkok.
LEVEL: Senior Level
TERMS OF REFERENCE
- Supervise, and provide guidance and training to the Social Services Unit and, as applicable to the staff of other sections on a continued basis;
- Organize and supervise the daily tasks of the Social Services Unit;
- Establish the work plan of home visits and vulnerability assessments in which the Senior Social Services Supervisor takes also personally a number of cases, together with the team of Programme Social Workers;
- Ensure that all home visits and vulnerability assessments are handled in line with the provisions of the existing framework and with other standard operating procedures or policies applicable to refugees. Refer cases in need of protection to the agency concerned as applicable;
- Account for quality standards and compliance with requirements, review and endorse the Case Vulnerability Assessment Forms and the case summaries before their presentation to the Panel;
- Present cases to the Panel or delegate this presentation to the respective Programme Social Workers while backing them up and leading the discussion when needed;
- Submit monthly, mid-year, year-end and ad hoc statistics and narrative reports to Program Manager
- Keep and maintain case records and files with confidentiality at all times;
- Manage sensitive cases or urgent situations by developing standard operating procedures and response plans;
- Coordinate closely with other units. Help analyze and document the dynamics within the various groups and categories of vulnerable refugees and help develop solutions or referral systems to better address the needs of refugees.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Thai nationality
- Master degree in social work or counseling psychology or any social related fields. Good training and coaching skill is preferred
- At least 5 year work experience in social work or other related fields
- Strong leadership (team building) and advocacy skills
- Open-mindedness, flexible and has the ability to cope with stressful situations and clients
- Excellent writing, reporting, coordination and communication skills in English
- Good computer skills (Word, Excel, MS office family and internet)
