Education Program Manager

JOB SUMMARY
The Prevention Education Manager will work closely with the Global Director of Education (in US office) and various local education partners to help oversee the education program for The Exodus Road in Thailand. This role will:
Educate high-risk communities about the dangers of human trafficking with easily replicable, culturally relevant materials. The educational campaign will leverage digital assets, physical materials, and in-person events to engage students in learning.
Develop relationships with schools in at risk communities in order to conduct in person prevention events targeting elementary through high school level audiences.
Function as primary day of coordinator during in-person events and become Master Trainer to deliver and train other facilitators with the curriculum.
Work to further develop curriculum and contribute to revisions or updates for greater impact.
Coordinate student engagement opportunities including the development of flyers, competitions and other marketing materials as necessary.

Contract Length: One-year contract
Job Location: this position will be based in Bangkok, with regular travel to other provinces (primarily Chonburi and Isaan regions)
Work location: Udon Thani, Chonburi, Bangkok
Working hours: Mon-Fri, 9:00 – 17:00 hrs. Required in-office hours 3 days a week if not traveling.
Salary and Package: 38,000-43,000 THB /month to include benefits
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Management
Complete all program management tasks for in-person education events within schools and community centers including but not limited to materials management, shipping, marketing, promotion, travel logistics.
Serve as lead event coordinator during all in-person sessions, maintaining awareness of all concurrent activities, managing real-time logistics and troubleshooting, and supporting other facilitators throughout the event.
Work with the Global Director of Education to ensure project implementation is on time, on target, and on budget as planned.
Maintain working knowledge of the program budget; track expenditures, manage day-to-day purchasing decisions within approved parameters, and proactively flag variances or anticipated overages to the Country Director. Final budget approval rests with the Country Director.
Contribute to all fieldwork, participating in project management, monitoring and supporting staff and beneficiaries during the implementation periods, coordinating with focal points, Government, and non-government potential partners, including community and other field-based tasks as assigned.
Ensure curriculum remains trauma-informed including following appropriate processes for disclosures of potential abuse.
Organize and lead debriefing sessions post events to continue refining logistics.
Stakeholder Relationships
Identify and cultivate new school, faith community, and NGO partnerships; represent the program in meetings with administrators, government liaisons, and community leaders to secure event opportunities and expand program reach.
Promote and present the program accurately through written and verbal professional communications.
Recruit, train, and manage a roster of local trainers; coordinate trainer scheduling and deployment for events; provide ongoing coaching and quality assurance for facilitation standards.
Partner with other TER program staff for collaboration between education, intervention, and aftercare. Participate in all Thailand staff meetings and events.
Evaluation and Reporting
Collect all data needed for reporting during and after implementation and submit accurate and detailed reports in a timely manner.
Administer pre- and post-event surveys with participants; analyze results to measure knowledge and behavior change; translate findings into clear impact reports for internal and global stakeholders.
Monitor curriculum effectiveness through observation and participant data; proactively identify gaps or improvements in script, activities, or flow; lead or facilitate working groups to implement curriculum revisions in collaboration with the Global Director of Education.
Produce regular written impact reports, event summaries, and program updates for the Global Director of Education and other stakeholders; communicate proactively about program health, challenges, and opportunities.
This position requires regular travel within Bangkok and to nearby provinces (estimated 2–5 times per month), with several extended trips per year to more distant regions of Thailand (estimated 3 per year, typically 4–6 days each). Total travel is estimated at 30–40% of the role.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area, i.e., International Relations, Sociology, Education, Communications, Non-Profit Management, Public Health, or equivalents. A master’s degree would be a plus.
Proven abilities to work with community, Government, and Non-government entities.
Excellent communication and dialog skills with customers, team, and stakeholders. Professional English proficiency required for regular communication with US-based global staff, written reporting, and virtual collaboration across time zones. Strong public speaking and presentation skills using muti-media.
Capabilities to collaborate with key TER partners to organize meetings and to cooperate with NGOs, schools, and other government officers.
Ability to manage multiple tasks at once and provide the timely narrative reporting to the Global Director of Education
Works well in and promotes teamwork, strong community outreach skills, detail-oriented, honest, flexible, problem solving, multi-tasking, and able to handle pressure well.
Very Good organizational skills and ability to analyze information.
Customer-focused mindset and service mentality and strong interpersonal skills
EXPERIENCE
3 years (minimum) of professional experience in project, programming, and team management. Prior experience in the support community is an asset.
Achievement and experience to run projects which need coordination with schools, children, or the community side would be special consideration.
Prior experience training or leading others and ensuring standards of presentation are met.
Public speaking skills and demonstrated ability to lead a group of students through educational content.
Examples of monitoring and evaluation success related to program impact and auditing
Experience working with youth, preferably around topics related to human trafficking crime such as abuse, counseling support, identity, family, healing, trauma, etc.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
30 Days The new Program Manager has completed onboarding, developed a working understanding of TER Thailand's education program, existing partnerships, and curriculum, and has accompanied at least one in-person event in an observational capacity. They have completed curriculum training and can deliver the program. They have established strong working relationships with the Country Director and Global Director of Education, understand reporting expectations, and can articulate the program's goals and current pipeline.
90 Days The Program Manager is independently leading event logistics and serving as day-of coordinator for in-person sessions. They have identified at least 2–3 prospective new school or community partnerships and initiated outreach. They are administering pre/post surveys accurately and submitting timely, complete event reports. They have a clear picture of the trainer roster and have identified any gaps in capacity or coverage.
6 Months The Program Manager has secured at least one new school or community partnership that results in a scheduled event. Budget tracking is current and accurate with no unresolved variances. Pre/post data has been collected across a minimum of five events and synthesized into a summary impact report shared with the Global Director of Education. The Program Manager has submitted at least one written curriculum recommendation — identifying a specific gap in script, activity, or flow — and has either implemented a revision or convened a working group to do so.
