Position Title: Youth Connect Foundation Director
No. of position available: 1
Length of contract: Minimum 2 years contract with 3 months probationary period
Location: Youth Connect Foundation, Mae Sot, Tak, Thailand http://youthconnectthailand.org/
Start of assignment: August 2018

Youth Connect Foundation was founded in 2007 to bridge the employment gaps among young
migrants in Mae Sot, Tak province through working with migrant learning centers as well as local
Thai businesses and governmental authority. Youth Connect Foundation has developed a unique
training course that focuses on addressing the needs of target group to provide training,
professional material support, documentation assistance, paid apprenticeships in skilled work
and career placements services for any young adult who has successfully completed the
apprenticeship program.

Responsibilities and job duties for the director include the following:
(1) Administration Reporting and Budgeting;
1.1 Manage annual Youth Connect Transitions and the Picturebook Guesthouse budgets
1.2 Initiate the Youth Connect Transitions and the Picturebook Guesthouse strategic
planning with support from Child’s Dream Foundation
1.3 Quarterly reporting of all Youth Connect Transitions and the Picturebook Guesthouse
programs
1.4 Coordinating with outsource audit firm for foundation annual auditing
1.5 Check and monitor all Youth Connect Transitions and the Picturebook Guesthouse
Banana bookings monthly and insure proper caretaking of booking binders
1.6 Overseeing all staffing decisions at the foundation for education and guesthouse
positions, including hiring, performance appraisals, documentation, terminations and
salaries.

(2) Training/Capacity Building and Curriculum Development
2.1 Proactively ensure quality delivery of Youth Connect Transitions training programs
and Picturebook Guesthouse Hospitality Training
2.2 Assist the Transitions Education Team with the development of Thai and Life Skills
Curriculum, Program Training and Program Assessment Activities

2.3 Provide feedback to the Education Coordinator and trainers about the Youth Connect Curriculum as needed

(3) Brand Management and Program Publicity
3.1 Maintain Youth Connect and Picturebook websites, Youth Connect online newsletter
and Youth Connect Facebook page and create blogs about YCF program milestones
3.2 Represent organization to donors and office visitors and serve as primary
representative of Youth Connect in term of communicating with program cross-sector
partners and community stakeholders

(4) Program Coordination
4.1 Supervise of Employment Team members; Coordinator, Employment Officer and
Employment Administrative Officer
4.2 Develop, manage and maintain communication and relationship building with local
employers who interact with Transitions program with local government and with partner
NGOs as needed

(5) Human Resource Management and Personnel
5.1 Hire and prepare all hiring paperwork/documents for all Youth Connect and
Picturebook Guesthouse staff with appropriate counterparts
5.2 Conduct annual performance evaluations with input from relevant Youth Connect
Team Management

Required criteria;
- Budget and project management experience
- Experience in working with non-profit organizations
- Experience working with people with diverse backgrounds, culture and ethnicity
- A greater understanding of the border issues and migrants’ education
- Thai national prefer but not required

Working hours: Monday-Friday with occasionally on weekend
