Asylum Access Thailand – Reception and Data Administration

Asylum Access is an innovative nonprofit founded to make refugee rights a reality in Africa, Asia and Latin America. We help refugees assert their fundamental rights using four integrated tools: individualized legal counsel and/or representation, community legal empowerment, policy advocacy and strategic litigation. With offices in Ecuador, Panama, Thailand, Tanzania and Malaysia, we provide direct legal assistance reaching over 10,000 refugees per year.
Asylum Access Thailand (AAT) provides direct information and advice to urban asylum seekers and refugees in Bangkok taking part in the Refugee Status Determination (RSD) process before the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
Role and Responsibilities:
- Working on the reception team for ‘Walk-in day’, a day when clients can attend the AAT office without a scheduled appoint to access advice and information on the RSD process before the UNHCR. This includes initial screening for need and vulnerabilities of clients, including intake and referral to appropriate staff for assistance.
- Keying in client information into the AAT client information systems (including our core client list and case management databases)
- Ensuring all client records and documents are properly scanned and saved to fie.

- Prudent to maintain professional boundaries
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
- Basic computer skills
Type of contract: Part Time Volunteer (Tue, Thur and Fri)
Remuneration: 8,000 THB net per month
