AUN/SEED-Net has been established to promote human resource development in engineering for sustainable socio-economic development of the ASEAN region. The network consists of 26 member institutions in ASEAN with assistance from 14 Japanese supporting universities. Full operation of AUN/SEED-Net Project started in 2003 with main support from the Japanese Government through Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). Project activities have been implemented by the Member Institutions and AUN/SEED-Net Secretariat with support from 14 leading Japanese Supporting Universities and JICA Project Office for AUN/SEED-Net.
Office Location: Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok
Main duties and Responsibilities:
Under supervision of Unit Chief, Program Officer is expected to perform day-to-day functions and additional ad hoc tasks assigned to support the project team members. The position holder will work closely with other Program Officers in executing project activities to produce the end results forwarding to the project objectives.
Implementation of programs:
1. Plan and operate one or two scholarship program(s)
2. Manage scholarship application documents and communicate with Member Institutions and applicants to produce a summary of scholarship applications
3. Carry out screening process of scholarship selection
4. Monitor scholarship students of assigned universities
5. Provide logistic and administrative support for their use of research program and mobility fund
6. Maintain database of scholarship students
Financial Facilitation:
1. Facilitate operational aspects of research fund as assigned
2. Prepare contracts of scholarship and research program for Member Institutions
3. Monitor and verify financial records of fund recipients
4. Monitor the usage of fund and provide suggestion when requested
5. Liaise with Member Institutions and Principal Investigators for timely financial reporting
6. Process fund remittance of program activities
Logistic management:
- Prepare logistic arrangement for faculty members of Member Institutions, scholarship students
Others:
1. Plan and organize alumni activity
2. Provide administrative assistance at major project events (conference and meeting)
3. Provide oral presentation at official meetings
Program Officer is expected to perform other duties relevant to project activities as assigned.
Qualifications
Essential: Position holder must be or possess the following qualifications:
1. Thai nationality
2. Minimum 2 years work experience
3. Bachelor’s degree in any field
4. Excellent communication skills with strong oral and written in English
5. Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
6. Proactive, committed and flexible to work with colleagues and project partners from different backgrounds
7. Management skills of assigned tasks with priorities
8. Able to work extra hours and sometimes on weekends
9. Able to travel within ASEAN countries
