-Urgently Required- Program Area Implementation Manager Roles: This position is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of priority projects at the Program area level making sure all projects and processes are aligned with the Country Strategic Plan and child- centred community development (CCCD) approach. Consistent with the CO caseload management plan, the AM leads the Area team to achieve Plan’s sponsorship commitments and deliver sponsorship requirements and ensure that sponsorship is tightly linked to program implementation.
Dimensions of Role : Budget- manage the Area budget Area of Responsibility- Program Area unit covered area Human Resource- Partners , Area Supervisors, Sponsorship Staff , Administrative and General Services Staff, Project staff , Child Centred Community Development Facilitators Networks-Represent Plan in District , Sub-district Governments, NGOs , networks in the area
Key Responsibilities : Strategic, Annual and Tactical Plan Lead annual reflection and objective setting sessions with the staff and partners to develop Program area annual plan aligned with the country strategic plan and caseload plan and Plan’s sponsorship commitments Prepare annual operational plan based on approved budget. Allocate needed resources based on approved funding to facilitate project implementation and Determine appropriate staffing for the Program area
Program Management and Sustainability Facilitate finalization of project objectives / activities / implementation plan through consultative sessions with staff and partners. Coordinate and allocate tasks with staff and identified partners to facilitate project implementation Monitor progress of projects and production of sponsorship communications and trouble shoot problems hindering successful implementation Facilitate conduct of regular program and sponsorship review to assess projects’ short, medium and long term impact to SC families and communities Facilitate review and modify if needed, project document design to align with CSP and Global strategy Conduct continuing education and communication to ensure that project objectives and CCCD approach are well understood and implemented Manage annual budget and request modifications if necessary. Monitor project status through SAP and approves PCRs Monitor implementation of all projects and achievement of Sponsorship commitments to sponsored children
Human Resource Management Lead annual individual accountability planning with all Program Area staff. Conduct ongoing performance reviews of the staff and counsels if necessary to improve performance. Facilitate the implementation of development interventions needed by the staff to ensure the delivery of outputs and outcomes Conduct team building strategies to increase internal synergy for increased productivity. Conduct regular meetings to inform staff of developments, challenges and future scenarios affecting the Program area. Implement intrinsic rewards system for good performance
Alliance Building and Collaboration Implement development education strategies to raise the awareness of the public and relevant bodies about Plan to secure their active involvement to our cause. Represent and promote Plan in important events in the community, sub-district and district levels. Manage differing and competing stakeholders needs to maintain value added relationship. Initiate/participate in strategic visioning of collaborative efforts among partners. Establish and maintain linkages with government, non-government and other groups to raise Plan’s image and to promote the rights of the child
Sponsorship Management Monitor sponsorship commitments and manage caseload plan Review all sponsorship communications and reports together with Program area team who does regular benchmarking of SC products Organize briefing program/schedule for visiting sponsors. Promote community managed sponsorship program Integrate sponsorship status/reports to overall program implementation meetings Monitor submission of all SC items. Enforce strict compliance with the Child Protection Policy.
Compliance to Corporate Mandates Complies corporate policies and standards- Child Protection Policy, IT Policy, Anti-Fraud and Corruption Policy, Confidentiality Policy, Code of Conduct, whistle Blowing, HR Policies and Procedures;
Personal Development Attends internally and externally facilitated training events, workshops, symposiums, studies, conferences to enhance level of performance. Maximize the use of ICT for greater awareness of local and global trends affecting development work. Accepts special objective assignments for skills enhancement and expansion. Shares learning to benefit others.
Qualifications: Bachelor in Social Science, Community Development and other related courses. Master degree is an advantage. At least 5-year experience in development work and 3-year of which were in a managerial capacity Preferably in an international NGO Strong in program/project management and organizational knowledge Excellent in communicating and influencing other and can manage conflict and stress management Fluent in Thai and excellent written and spoken English Has a leadership skill, strategic thinking and solutions focused Hands-on experience in participatory approaches Proficient in facilitation and valuing diversity |
