URGENTLY REQUIRED
A THAI TEACHER
Catholic Office for Emergency Relief and Refugees (COERR), a Thai NGO under the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Thailand (CBCT) was established in 1978 for the purpose of bringing aid to displaced persons in Thailand and those affected by natural disasters.
COERR is urgently looking for an experienced personnel to fill the post of Thai Teacher, based in Bangkok.
TERMS OF REFERENCE
Teach Thai as a Second Language, primarily to non-Thai children aged 6-17 years old.
Teach Reading, Writing, Conversation, Listening, and Grammar as well as other subjects in Thai.
Perform teaching duties to assigned classes and levels; be responsible for developing and preparing lesson plans, teaching aids, conducting tests, recording the progress and attendance of every student.
Ensure the active involvement of students in the learning process.
Introduce, conduct and oversee extra-curricular and recreational activities.
Perform relevant and necessary recreational and special events upon request.
Submit student progress and accomplishment reports.
Perform other duties necessary and relevant to the education needs of students.
QUALIFICATIONS
B.E. or B.A., majoring in primary education
Minimum one year experience in Thai teaching
Experience in Literacy Program is highly desirable
Excellent communication and organizational abilities are required, particularly in multi - lingual settings
Good command of spoken and written both in Thai and English
Open-mindedness, ability to work under pressure and strong team building skills
