Chemonics seeks a law enforcement specialist for the Counter Wildlife Trafficking Activity Program (CWT). The specialist will counter wildlife trafficking by reducing consumer demand, strengthening law enforcement, strengthening policy, and improving monitoring of status and trends of wildlife crime. CWT's geographic scope is defined as the Association of Southeast Asian Nation countries with a focus on the Lower Mekong (Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia) and China. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world. 

The law enforcement specialist is responsible for successful implementation of the activity's interventions related to law enforcement. The specialist advises and supports the chief of party in the development and implementation of a comprehensive strategy to build law enforcement capacity related to counter wildlife trafficking in the ASEAN region.  In planning and executing this strategy, the specialist must collaborate with and build upon the efforts of a host of other activities in law enforcement including programs sponsored by ASEAN, the United States government, and international other donors and civil society organizations.  The specialist will provide leadership to relevant activity staff and subcontractors and provide day-to-day direction of all task order activities related to law enforcement capacity building and coordination.

 Qualifications: 

* A minimum of seven years of experience in law enforcement, development, or reform 

* Experience in the design and implementation of capacity building  systems, institutional strengthening, and coalition building, preferably in the realm of wildlife trafficking 

* Experience working in governance and policy in the ASEAN region

* Experience addressing wildlife trafficking challenges in the ASEAN region

* Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity

* Fluency in English required
