ActionAid is an international organisation, working with over 25 million people in more than 40 countries for a world free from poverty and injustice. ActionAid Thailand (AAT) is part of the ActionAid International Federation and has been working with people and communities in Thailand for a decade addressing issues related to poverty, human rights, education, and women’s and youth’s empowerment.
ActionAid Thailand is expanding its operations and looking for highly skills and motivated Thai nationals with good English communication skills to fill the following position:
Human Resources and Organization Development Coordinator
Roles & Responsibilities:
The Human Resources and Organization Development Coordinator is a member of Senior Management Team (SMT). S/he ensures the implementation of human resources policies, procedures and systems for the ActionAid Thailand (AAT) which are aligned to the AAT Country Strategy Paper(CSP); and ensures adherence to HR good practices of ActionAid Internationals(AAI) Global HROD Framework and Standards, and in compliance with all local labor laws and other statutory requirements in Thailand.
The HROD Coordinator is responsible to deliver operational objective 2 of AAT CSP: “Through effective recruitment, induction, training and coaching, ensure that AAT has managers of the highest commitment and caliber to lead the organization”.
Also act as Governance and Board Relations focal point. To provide guidance in the nationalisation process with key stakeholders, government agencies, and AAI and other AA Country Programmes(CP)/Associate or Affiliate Programs(AP). Ensure that HROD department provides effective support to the Country Director in coordinating Affiliation related processes in AAT, and in developing and ensuring that standards of governance in AAT are met. Ensure smooth and effective functioning between the HROD and Governance Sub-Committee of the Board of Directors
Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in Human Resources Management, Organisation Development or in relevant fields. Master degree or Professional HROD certified qualificatiom (CIPD) are preferable
At least 5 years practical experience in human resources management & development
Experience in developing, implementing and monitoring the compliance of HR system, policies and procedures, preferably the context of an international organisation
Experience of working in multi-cultural environment
Basic knowledge of human rights and poverty issues in Thailand
Thorough understanding of laws and regulations on labour, health and safety in Thailand
Knowledge of human resources management practices in Thailand
Leadership and management, strategic thinking
Presentation, communications, and negotiation
Networking, influencing and interpersonal, coaching, mentoring and capacity building/development
Fluency in written and spoken English and native language
Proficiency in MS Office
