Job Profile: 

The International Association of Conference Interpreters is a global organisation representing more than 3000 professionals around the world. It is a bilingual non-profit association with its administrative headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, and a Representative Office established in 2023 in Bangkok, Thailand.

We are recruiting a Membership & Support Officer based in Bangkok to support our members and applicants. This role combines day-to-day operational responsibilities with involvement in a range of fixed-term projects.  

The successful candidate will join a collaborative team of four to five colleagues based across Bangkok and Geneva, working closely together in an international environment.

 

Core duties:

  • Support applicants throughout the online membership application process
  • Assist members in using their online portals
  • Support AIIC groups coordinating their activities
  • Maintain and update the internal database to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Prepare and distribute internal and external communications, including mass mailings
  • Manage and publish content across AIIC websites
  • Contribute to the organisation of, and participate in, AIIC Assemblies and other AIIC meetings
  • Participate in projects and initiatives supporting the development and growth of AIIC

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification
  • Fluency in English and Thai, with excellent writing and oral communication skills; proficiency in additional languages is an asset
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role 
  • Strong digital skills and confidence working with online platforms and tools 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace
