ADRA Thailand is currently seeking applicants for 4 position to work at our office in Mae Sot district, Tak province in the project of Enhanced Capacities for Migrant Advocacy (ECMA) as detail below
1. Project Manager
Responsibilities:
To ensure high quality project implementation and supervision of project activities.
To ensure close communication and coordination between all stakeholders in Mae Sot and with the ADRA Country Office in Chiang Mai.
To ensure quality and timely reporting on project progress and implementation.
To ensure proper project staff supervision (3 staff)
To ensure transparent and correct project related financial transactions and recording;
Overall responsibility on project expenditure and budget control;
Overall responsibility on correct and timely implementation of project activities;
Overall responsibility on DIP development and ensuring action and work plans are in place and being followed;
To ensure project implementation according to DIP and to regularly update and revise DIP and log-frame as needed and appropriate in close communication with Program Coordinator and Program Director;
Responsible for quality and timely monthly and project end reporting;
To represent ADRA in all relevant coordination meetings within the project target area;
Work closely with partnering CSOs to ensure effective cooperation;
Coordinate appropriately with relevant stakeholders such as Thai Authorities, private factories, etc;
To undertake any effort to be frequently and correctly updated on the quick changing situation in regards to the migrant workers realities within the project area;
Perform other tasks as required by the Program Coordinator and Program Director
Preferred candidates are expected to meet the following:
Minimum Skills & Education Required:
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher
Experience:
Significant experience in working with migrant workers and advocacy (at least 4-5 years).
Management and team leading experience (at least 3-4 years)
Language Skills:
Fluent in English and Thai (written and oral)
Fluent in spoken Burmese is a plus
Skills and Abilities:
Significant experience in working with migrant community
Sound computer skills in at least word and excel
Ability to work under pressure and to cope with multi-tasking
Ability to interact in a sensitive and diplomatic way
Outgoing and confident personality
Transparent, organized and responsible work style
2. Field Coordinator 2 position
Responsibilities:
To ensure proper coordination of project activities according to DIP and in consultation with the partnering CSO’s;
To help ensure a good flow of information between the beneficiaries (field), local stakeholders and the Project Manager;
To monitor and assess the progress and situation of the partnering CSO’s regularly;
To assist the Project Manager in other areas as required;
To ensure quality and timely reporting on project activities to the Project Manager;
To attend local network/coordination meetings;
To assist the Project Manager to implement capacity building activities for CSOs;
Coordinate TOT programs for CSO;
Collect relevant project data from CSOs and put into M & E system;
Other tasks required by the Project Manager
Preferred candidates are expected to meet the following:
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher
Experience:
Significant experience in working with migrant workers, local CSOs, and advocacy (at least 2-3 years).
Language Skills:
Fluent in English and Thai (written and oral)
Fluent in spoken Burmese is a plus
Skills and Abilities:
Significant experience in working with migrant communities
Sound computer skills in at least word and excel
Ability to work under pressure and to cope with multi-tasking
Ability to interact in a sensitive and diplomatic way
Outgoing and confident personality
Transparent, organized and responsible work style
3. Project Cashier/Admin Assistant
Responsibilities:
• Manage funds for project activities
o Withdrawing funds from the bank according to requests
o Depositing remaining funds
o Conduct monthly bank and account receivable reconciliations
• Maintain petty cash funds
o Accurately recording all expenses into the petty cash register
o Maintain the daily petty cash count
o Payment of office expenses such as utilities, internet, telephone etc.
• Collect all project expense reports from the project/field office and send to Chiang Mai on time
o Review all receipts and ensure that all expenses and details on receipts are in line with ADRA Thailand Finance and Procurement policies
o Ensure that all support documents and receipts are attached to payment vouchers
• Assist the Project Manager to request funds from Chiang Mai as required
• Process payments for project activities and follow up to ensure all receipts are accurate; partners submit monthly receipts on time (sub-grant, financial support and project activities)
• Monitor and analyze monthly actual spending compared to approved budget
• Assist with office administrative task such as finding venue for meetings
and making procurement for the project
• Responsible for preparing asset register and update it regularly
• Assist HR to apply and renew visa for foreigner staff
• Perform other tasks as requested by the supervisor
Preferred candidates are expected to meet the following:
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related filed
Experience:
Minimum of 2-year experience in finance positions similar to what described above
Language Skills:
Fluent in English and Thai (written and oral)
Fluent in spoken Burmese is a plus
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to accurately prepare, review and analyze financial and statistical reports
Sound computer skills in at least word and excel
Ability to work under pressure and to cope with multi-tasking
Ability to take initiative and work independently
Outgoing and confident personality
Transparent, organized and responsible work style
