PURPOSE OF POSITION

To design, develop, and manage whole data architecture with a strong emphasis on building and operating
a centralized Data Lake as the core data platform. The role ensures that data from multiple sources is integrated, reliable, secure, and ready for use in dashboards, reporting, advanced analytics, and AI-driven initiatives. The position supports data-driven decision-making across the organization while enforcing data governance standards, data quality, security controls, and compliance with relevant policies and regulations, enabling effective use of data to support our mission.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Data Architecture & Data Lake Management 30%

·        Design and develop the organization’s data architecture and centralized Data Lake as the core data platform.

·        Manage scalable and sustainable data structures to support multiple data sources and future growth.

·        Ensure performance, reliability, and availability of the Data Lake environment.

·        Maintain technical documentation and meta data architecture standards.

Data Integration & Pipeline Engineering 15%

·        Develop and maintain data pipelines (ETL/ELT) to ingest and integrate data from multiple sources.

·        Standardize and transform data to ensure consistency and usability.

·        Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipeline processes.

·        Ensure timely and reliable data ingestion into the Data Lake.

Data Quality & Data Reliability 20%

·        Define and implement data quality standards and validation rules.

·        Develop processes to monitor and verify data accuracy and consistency.

·        Identify and resolve data issues and anomalies.

·        Continuously monitor data quality in collaboration with data users.

Dashboard and Reporting Enablement 15%

·        Prepare and structure datasets to support dashboards and reporting solutions.

·        Design optimized data models for business and management reporting.

·        Support analysts and business users in accessing Data Lake data.

·        Improve query performance and reporting efficiency.

Data Governance, Security & Compliance 10%

• Define and enforce data governance standards and policies.
• Manage data access controls based on roles and responsibilities.
• Ensure data security and compliance with PDPA and organizational policies.
• Support audits and compliance reporting requirements.

AI & Advance Analytics 10%

·        Prepare and structu­re datasets to support advanced analytics and AI use cases.

·        Enable data accessibility for data scientists and analytics teams.

·        Enhance data quality and readiness for AI model development.

·        Explore and adopt relevant data technologies to support AI initiatives.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Technology Management, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• Formal training or demonstrated knowledge in data engineering, data architecture, or data integration.
• Training or working knowledge of data governance, data quality, and data security principles.
• No specific professional license or registration is required.
• Certification is not mandatory but considered an advantage.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in data engineering, data platforms, or data integration roles.
• Hands-on experience in designing, developing, or maintaining Data Lake or Data Warehouse solutions.
• Proven experience in building and operating data pipelines (ETL/ELT) from multiple data sources.
• Experience working with relational and/or analytical databases, including strong SQL skills.
• Experience preparing and delivering data for dashboards, reporting, and analytics.
• Experience collaborating with the teams, data analysts, and business stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of data engineering principles and data architecture, including Data Lake and data pipeline concepts, 
  and data modeling to support dashboards and reporting.
• Proficiency in SQL/No-SQL for data extraction, transformation, 
  and analysis.
• Familiarity with business intelligence (BI) and dashboard tools.
• Understanding of data quality, data governance, and data security principles.
• Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve data-related issues.
• Home working with occasional travel to field offices or regional meetings.
