PURPOSE OF POSITION
To design, develop, and manage whole data architecture with a strong emphasis on building and operating
a centralized Data Lake as the core data platform. The role ensures that data from multiple sources is integrated, reliable, secure, and ready for use in dashboards, reporting, advanced analytics, and AI-driven initiatives. The position supports data-driven decision-making across the organization while enforcing data governance standards, data quality, security controls, and compliance with relevant policies and regulations, enabling effective use of data to support our mission.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Data Architecture & Data Lake Management 30%
· Design and develop the organization’s data architecture and centralized Data Lake as the core data platform.
· Manage scalable and sustainable data structures to support multiple data sources and future growth.
· Ensure performance, reliability, and availability of the Data Lake environment.
· Maintain technical documentation and meta data architecture standards.
Data Integration & Pipeline Engineering 15%
· Develop and maintain data pipelines (ETL/ELT) to ingest and integrate data from multiple sources.
· Standardize and transform data to ensure consistency and usability.
· Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipeline processes.
· Ensure timely and reliable data ingestion into the Data Lake.
Data Quality & Data Reliability 20%
· Define and implement data quality standards and validation rules.
· Develop processes to monitor and verify data accuracy and consistency.
· Identify and resolve data issues and anomalies.
· Continuously monitor data quality in collaboration with data users.
Dashboard and Reporting Enablement 15%
· Prepare and structure datasets to support dashboards and reporting solutions.
· Design optimized data models for business and management reporting.
· Support analysts and business users in accessing Data Lake data.
· Improve query performance and reporting efficiency.
Data Governance, Security & Compliance 10%
AI & Advance Analytics 10%
· Prepare and structure datasets to support advanced analytics and AI use cases.
· Enable data accessibility for data scientists and analytics teams.
· Enhance data quality and readiness for AI model development.
· Explore and adopt relevant data technologies to support AI initiatives.
