Program Director
Location: Bangkok Office
Purpose:
To lead and facilitate the Program Dep. in developing coherent, integrated and quality programs (design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation) those are based on Child Centered Community Development and Plan’s established policies, strategy, and procedure .
To manage the relationships with partners. To develop capabilities among Plan staff and program participants including partners.
To support the achievement of country program goals that are aligned with Plan’s program framework.
To ensure child protection policies and procedures are implemented accordingly and integrated into program management (design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation)
To be a key role of resource mobilization and the increase of Plan Thailand visibility
Responsibilities
Planning
Country Strategic Plan
Country Program Annual Plan and budget
Performance appraisals of direct report
Management
Develop, direct, and facilitate the design of the efficient Country Strategic Plan
Ensure that Plan Thailand has a bank of efficient programs/innovation/initiatives for resource mobilization/grants funding
Facilitate the establishment and implementation of standards of accountability, effectiveness and efficiency in the achievement of Plan’s program framework
Ensure that Program Team are provided with technical support in program management; design implementation, monitoring, and evaluation/assessment/reflection
Facilitate & coordinate advisors for the drafting and management of project annual budget.
Collective and informed decisions are made by the Country Management Team on major issues for program strategy, implementation monitoring, and reporting
Recruitment & Selection, building and managing relationships, and monitoring & evaluation system with appropriate partners/ networks working for/with Plan programs
Regularly monitor and follow up the implementation and management of all projects/activities in the fields with reports, including budget plan vs actual spending in order to meet high standard, ensuring compliance with Plan’s global/national legal standards/goal, and CSP
Ensure quality and timeliness of all reporting before they are endorsed for approval and to be sent to all concerned
Represent Plan in national, regional and international meeting
Manages, motivate, develop, coach, and monitor team performance and drive them to achieve the performance expectations/ standard
Qualifications:
Master degree with background in development and management of social/community
Understanding of integrated development issues and critical analysis of child poverty
Minimum 7 years experience as a development professional in planning, monitoring, evaluating programs and managing pool of technical support and at least 5 years at management level
Demonstrate high degree of leadership, professionalism, and integrity
Networking experience with development organizations in the country and at the international level and working in multi-cultural setting
Good command of English and computer literacy
Experience in working with child-focused development organization will be an advantage.
