Vacancy Announcement

Kindernothilfe (German for “supporting children in need”) is a development cooperation partner that works to support vulnerable and marginalized children to develop their full potentials.

Kindernothilfe (KNH) was found in 1959 in Germany. Our programs in Thailand work through partnership with local non-governmental organizations and their networks. Now we support 12 projects in Thailand, Myanmar and Lao PDR to development policies and implementation in compliance with the Child Rights Convention. We focus on long-term results by empowering children and helping people help themselves, to overcome dependencies, and to strengthen voices of marginalized groups. We promote an effective form of support that makes a difference by creating a lasting impact in children’s lives.

To achieve the pathway of sustainable changes, we look for a ‘Programme manager’.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for overall progress and performances of the projects implementing by local partners;
  • Support local partners in their project implementation, impact analysis and planning;
  • Initiate capacity development for partners and team member;
  • Initiate networking with Government Organizations (GOs), NGOs, and Child Rights networks/organizations;
  • Build motivation, coach and ensure efficiency and effectiveness of the team member;
  • Coordinate with Finance manager on budget’s planning and financial reporting;
  • Prepare and submit reports and plans in line with the KNH standards and formats to Country manager.

 

Required Qualifications, Skills and Competency

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Sociology, International development or other related fields;
  • Minimum of five years of experiences in non-profit organizations;
  • Strong knowledge and skills in Child Rights Programming and Impacts Orientation;
  • Experiences in managing the rights-based approach projects especially for women, children and community development are preference;
  • Able to effectively support, negotiate, and cooperate with those of other cultures;
  • Excellent coordination, problem solving and coaching skills;
  • Excellent communication skill in both Thai and English;
  • Willingness to travel to remote areas and work at flexible/odd hours.
  • Thai nationality

Employment:             Permanent staff (after passed the 6 month-probation)

Work station:             Chiang Mai, Thailand
