Mental Health Supervisor - Based in Pattani

DOCTORS WITHOUT BORDERS THAILAND (DWBT)

Background

Doctors without Borders Thailand (DWBT) is a Thai company working to increase access to medical and mental health services in Thailand. DWBT is neutral, impartial, and solely medical in nature with no religious, political, or human rights objectives. DWBT has started a project to primarily provide mental health services for those affected by the unrest including basic mental health and an appropriate system of referral where needed.  The project is based in Pattani.

Main Purpose

Participate in the planning, supervision, and coordination of mental health/psycho-social related services according to DWBT standards to provide the most appropriate mental health support for patients.

Main responsibilities

• Participate in the planning, organization, and coordination of Mental Health activities, in close collaboration with the Mental Health activity manager and other medical team members, to ensure an efficient and effective implementation of the resources needed while maintaining high levels of quality in Mental Health DWBT programs and activities.
• Coordinates activities of counseling with other relevant actors and liaises with local counterparts on mental health matters, including referral services
• Supervise the daily mental health activities and patient support according to DWBT protocols and standards
• Liaise with the other DWBT team members of the project.
• Supervise, in close coordination with the HR department, the associated processes (recruitment, training/induction, evaluation, potential detection, development, and communication) of the staff under responsibility to ensure both the sizing and the amount of knowledge required.
• Offer clinical counselling supervision to mental health counsellors in collaboration with the Mental Health Activity Manager

• Salary: 44,281 THB
• Housing allowance (for the person who is from outside the Deep South)
• One-year fixed term contract with the possibility of renewable, with 3 month-probation periods.
