Rapid Asia is an independent social research and consulting firm based in Bangkok that specializes in evaluations for programs, projects, social marketing campaigns, and other social development initiatives. We carry out program evaluations across a number of thematic areas including human trafficking, migration, health, climate change, education, etc. Our clients include major donors, UN agencies, and international aid and development organizations. We take a regional approach to evaluations and have developed innovative tools and methodologies that can be used across borders. Rapid Asia has to date carried out projects in over 30 countries across Asia, Middle East, Africa, Eastern Europe, and South/Central America.

Due to our continued growth and expanding workload, we are looking for a Thai Report Writer, to support our team. Reports produced are often published by our clients so needs to be of impeccable quality. The work will be on a contract basis and regular work can be expected and could also include editing work. As a Thai Report Writer, you will be a key member of the project team and you will be notified well in advance of upcoming project. Type of report and report length will vary depending on the project and it is expected that remuneration will be agreed based on workload.

Job Responsibilities:

• Report writing in Thai language

• Desk research and compiling and contextualizing secondary data sources

• Data triangulation (with support from project team)

• Produce high quality research reports from primary and secondary data

• Ability to work independently and with some level flexibility

• Editing (secondary)

Requirements:

• Excellent written skill in both Thai and English

• Proven report writing experience of research reports

• Keen interest in social development work

• Strong work ethics and attention to detail

• Ability to deliver to strict deadlines

• Thematic expertise in migration and health is considered advantage

• Based in Bangkok is considered an advantage but not essential.
