The Borderland Health Foundation (BHF) is a non-for-profit, non-religious and non-political organization, registered in Thailand. BHF links to field stations of the Mahidol-Oxford University Research Unit (SMRU Clinics) which are located in Mae Sot, Mae Ramat, Phro Phra, Tha Song Yang and Umphang districts in Tak province, Thailand. BHF works with marginalized populations along Thailand-Myanmar border by focusing on health care services and public health issues with its focus on malaria, tuberculosis, and maternal and child health.

Supervisor:  Administrator/Chief Operating Officer

Supervisee: Finance Assistants

Location: Bangkok

Starting date:  As soon as possible

Contract period: ASAP until 31st December 2023 with possibility of extension

Responsibilities:

• Ensure financial and accounting transactions are in compliance with the policies, procedure and donor’s requirement.
• Provide technical support for accounting transactions in NetSuite ledger, ensuring entries are accurate and completed.
• Ensure all incurred expenditures are in compliance with donors’ contract regulations by working with grant management team
• Report to project lead if there is any significant issue or concern regarding expense, such as under- or over-spending.
• Prepare and submit financial report for donors according to requirements of donors within timeframe with accuracy and transparency and comply to regulations.
• Coordinate with Project directors and prepare cash forecast and budget planning.
• Liaise regularly with donors and project coordinators on finance matters (expense progress and monitoring).
• Oversees, maintain and update project information and financial files in the shared storage.
• Plan and handle for project financial auditing, this includes preparing documents, respond questions and recommendations raised by auditors.
• Provide accounting mentorship and training as needed, and other ad hoc projects when requested.
• Other jobs assigned by supervisor or high management.

Position requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum five years of accounting/financial management experience
• Knowledge of financial reporting and project expense analysis
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (particularly Outlook, Word and Excel) and the accounting software
• Proficinecy with Oracle NetSuite (or any other mainstream cloud ERP system) is a must.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Thai required.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Sysematic thinking, analytical and management skills
