Kenan Foundation Asia, a non-profit development organization working in partnership with companies, governments, academia, and committed individuals to empower people with the knowledge, technology, and skills necessary for a better future, is seeking a highly motivated and qualified person for the position of Senior Researcher. You will be responsible to perform research, Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E), and reporting functions for Kenan. The Senior Researcher will report to the senior manager of business and economic development.

Job Description

The incumbent serves as a researcher for Kenan including the conception, design, development and implementation of research for the Kenan development programs in Education, Small Business and Social Inclusion.

The Senior Researcher will coordinate with senior managers to produce actionable assessment and research findings and support the use of these and broader insights by partners and staff to guide their work. The Senior Researcher will contribute to a culture of shared learning, and elevate programmatic staff’s research and M&E capacities.

 Qualifications 

• Completion of a PhD or Master’s degree in Social Sciences such as political science, sociology, economics, business administration or international development is required.
• A minimum of 5 - 7 years professional experience in research is required.
•  At least 5 years of experience with reporting on development project activities is required. (This should include writing quarterly reports, project success stories, final reports, and other reporting tasks)
• Significant work experience which demonstrates a strong understanding of data collection and analysis tools and software is required.
• Experience in developing log frames, monitoring and evaluation frameworks and publishing research preferred.
• Excellent Thai and English Language written and oral skills.
• Working experience with USAID/EU/UN or multilateral agency is a plus.
