Context:

Under the overall supervision of the Programme Coordinator and the direct supervision of the Assistant Project Manager of the Thai-Israeli Cooperation of the Placement for Thai Agricultural workers project, the incumbent will provide daily administrative support to the project.

 

Core Functions / Responsibilities:

 

Particularly, he/she will carry out the following duties:

 

  1. Assist the Programme Coordinator in monitoring the progress of the whole recruitment processes and handle any unexpected delays;

 

  1. Keep track of the individual processing statuses and inform the Programme Coordinator and the Assistant Project Manager in case of delays and problems;

 

  1. Update and prepare various documents and forms necessary for the processing of the recruitment and deployment of Thai workers;

 

  1. Translate and maintain a proper filing system of official documents, forms, media coverage and articles concerning the project;

 

  1. Perform interpretative tasks in various meetings and prepare minutes;

 

 

  1. Provide support and act as a back-up of hotline phone operators, when necessary;

 

  1. Liaise with concerned parties regarding the problems, queries and requests of departed workers and follow up as necessary;

 

  1. Perform such other duties that may be assigned.

 

Required Qualifications and Experience

 

  • University degree in Language Studies, Political Science, Business Administration or Social Science;
  • At least four years of experience in the area of translation, business administration, in particular handling movements of people and goods;
  • Professional experience in working for international humanitarian organizations, non-governmental or governmental institutions /organizations in a multi-cultural setting an asset;
  • Strong team player but with a capacity to take the lead and work independently;
  • Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with colleagues from various cultures and professional backgrounds;
  • Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment;
  • Computer/software literate, especially in MS Office.

 

Languages

 

Fluency in English and Thai.

In all cases, a prerequisite for taking up the position is legal residency in the country of the duty station, or in the neighbouring country located within commuting distance, and work permit, as applicable.
