IUCN is seeking a qualified individual to join our Asia Regional Office, Bangkok, Thailand.
BACKGROUND:
This is the re-advertisement, the applicants who have already applied need not to re-apply.
This is a local recruitment. Only Thai nationals are eligible to apply. The remuneration and benefits package for this position is established with reference to the local labour market and in line with the IUCN conditions of service for Thailand.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
- Process petty cash payments Reconcile petty cash on daily basis for ARO. Act as custodian of petty cash.
- Process Purchase Orders and bank payments to vendors, staff and partners and prepare monthly reconciliations of bank accounts
- Provide assistance on reconciliation of other balance sheet accounts. Prepare and process cross-charges to other offices of IUCN
- Review and process Expense Claims
- Receive cash / Cheques from staff and third parties, process receipts vouchers and issue official receipt;
- Assist Regional Finance Unit in the following tasks;
• Where required by the donors provide the relevant documents from files and photo copy/scan the supporting documents for project financial statements
• Prepare the documentation, make payments for workshop participants, and prepare disbursement statement;
- Update fixed assets register in the accounting system (ERP) and process monthly depreciation
- Perform other tasks that may be assigned by your line manager from time to time.
REQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or other related fields;
· 1 to 2 years of work experience in a relevant position preferably with an International Organization or
an International NGO;
· Exposure to/ familiarity with Microsoft Dynamic NAV ERP system will be a distinct advantage;
· Proficiency in using MS Office, Internet, E-Mail, etc.;
· Fluency in Thai and ability in written and spoken English is essential;
· Ability to work effectively with diverse multicultural and multidisciplinary teams is essential.
