AUN / SEED-Net has been established to promote the development of human resources in the region. The network consists of 26 member institutions in ASEAN with assistance from 14 Japanese supporting universities. Full operation of AUN / SEED-Net Project started in 2003 with main support from the Japanese Government through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). Project activities have been implemented by Member Institutions and AUN / SEED-Net Secretariat with support from 14 leading Japanese Supporting Universities and JICA Project Office for AUN / SEED-Net.
Job Title: Program Officer (Editorial)
Office Location: Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok
Salary Level: 39,000 ~ 49,000THB per month; medical insurance and annual bonus provided
Contract Period: From July 2018 renewed on a yearly basis
Main duties and responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Chief Engineer, he holder holder will mainly work for:
- The development of the journal which AUN / SEED-Net started its publication in 2011
- PR related tasks
- Working closely with other Officers program in executing project activities to produce end results forwarding to the project objectives.
- Set up a strategy and plan with a feasible plan for calling in papers with the Chief
- Evaluate submitted journal papers with Chief Editors and consult with authors regarding its amendment.
- Copyedit and proofreading editorial content to increase the quality, appeal and relevance for an international audience according to the journal standards.
- Ensure that the manuscripts were submitted to the journal of the journal as specified in the publisher's policy.
- Monitor and monitor the process of management using the online account.
- Ensure the process is smoothly reviewed for the manuscript submission to final print in conjunction with the Management Team.
- Ensure that all the correspondence files of the projects are up to date and complete, archiving, keep the full screen until the project is complete, has been set and specified for the folder then.
- Ensure that all datelines are met and keep the Head Unit informed of any changes to the schedule.
- Increase journal quality by researchers in the field of engineering.
- Develop the journal further to achieve the level of international recognition.
- Monitor the trend in terms of journaling and set a feasible strategy for journaling to obtain the appropriate citation index
- Develop and implement plans for public relations and promotional events and initiatives
- Create interviews, shoot photos, and monitor all media channels.
- The Employment Project expects work, working, working as a team.
Qualifications:
Essential: Candidates with the following qualifications and personalities are required:
- Thai nationality
- Minimum 2 years work experience
- Bachelor's degree in any field
- Excellent level of English language skills (oral and written)
- Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Proactive, committed, and flexible attitude to work with colleagues and projects from different social and cultural backgrounds.
- Management tasks of tasks
- Able to work extra hours and sometimes at weekends.
- Able to travel within ASEAN countries
- Self-learning and pro-active attitude
