Position Title: Conservation and Marketing Communications Manager
Reporting to: Country Director
Number of Subordinates: 2
Base Location: Bangkok
Background and Purposes:
According to five-year strategic plan, WWF Thailand needs to build its brand and support its conservation programs with appropriate positioning in conservation, corporate marketing, fundraising (face to face and digital) merchandising and major donor relations. So, the communication will be the one driver to empower this strategy. The communication manager response for all strategic plan of WWF Thailand communication, campaign and ensure strong brand awareness so that the WWF project and activities are visible to public as well of fundraising opportunity.
Major Role Responsibilities
1 Define strategic communication direction corresponding to organization’s strategy and deliver in accordance to the strategy and plan developed.
2 Work closely with all project managers and Marketing and Fundraising Department in developing yearly advocacy and campaign plan and relevant events to ensure key conservation messages are delivered to the right channels of media (TV, newspaper, magazines, social media, and etc) to public to enhance brand awareness raising, public’s behavior change, and success of fundraising.
3 Develop good media relationship through cost-effective organizing of press trips, press conferences, press release in order to ensure high scale of media coverage and
4 Writes, edits and disseminates fact sheets, reporting documents, brochures, advertisements, open ceremony speech/interview, press releases and news stories in Thai and English and coordinate the production (design and printing) and distribution of communication items and materials to the suitable channels in the right time with appropriate mood and tone to achieve the agreed communication purpose.
5 Act as the gatekeeper/brand guardian of WWF by giving advice in utilization of brand to all departments. Able to professionally and accurately respond to public/ media challenge and crisis to protect WWF brand image when assigned by Country Director.
6 Oversees and develop WWF Thailand website and social media such as Facebook, Instagram etc. by providing fresh content on a regular basis As well, provide appropriate and immediate response to social media inquiries to protect WWF brand image ..
7 Act as a member of country management team (CMT) to provide collective opinion and discussion in organization-related issues for the good decision of CMT. Give respect to CMT decision as a good team player in order to build up organization’s unity and stability in accordance to the agreed strategic direction.
