Overall Purpose of job: To lead, and responsible for the management of Activism, Youth and Human Rights Education programme of Amnesty International Thailand, working closely with Campaign, Policy and Advocacy, Media and Growth team for human right impact. Plan, coordinate, execute, follow up, and measure progress and success from field work, national, regional and global level. Department Purpose: Amnesty International Thailand’s Activism and Human Rights Education Programme is the core human Rights movement. For activists, volunteers, members, and stakeholders to equipped with knowledge, skills, also creating space for network and taking action, we determine that people will take justice personally and come together to promote and protect human right worldwide.
Main Responsibilities:
• Consult with stakeholders e.g. rights holders, activists, other departments and partners to design an effective youth, activism, and HRE strategy and implementation plan that is interconnect with AI-TH strategy
• Plan, manage, implement and measure success of the full cycle of Activism, Youth and HRE Programme both online and offline
• Create a system and produce content in order to support, and to providing technique, knowledge and skills for activists and youth to take action
• Create a supporting journey for activists, youths and interested groups that is cross-cutting with Membership Department in order to deepen level of engagement, and networking.
• Manage database for activism, youth, HRE and volunteer
• Ensure effective multiple level communication with stakeholders
• Manage, Supervise, and Support field officers
• Create space for youths, activists, or interested groups to plan and take action for human rights impact
• Organize an Annual National Youth Summit, and workshops/training that support activism strategy and campaigns;
• Coordinate with youth core group in order to increase level of youth and activist participation in all levels;
• Coordinate with Campaign, Policy and Advocacy, Media, and Growth team in order to delivery impactful campaigns.
• Coordinate with Regional and Global Activism, Youth and HRE team in order to give input, feedback, and measuring larger impact;
• Evaluate and Measure success, learning outcomes with in field, national, regional and international levels Qualifications
• Knowledge of Human Rights, and Amnesty International, and interested in full range of human rights
• Committed to Human Rights, and follow Amnesty International’s principles and guideline
• Experience in Human Rights training, and able to organize and facilitate in human rights workshops/classes
• Ability to communication of wide-range of stakeholders, strong interpersonal skills
• Good Command in Thai and English (Spoken and Written)
• At least three-years professional work experience with similar responsibility
• Excellent Coordinating and Project Management Skills
• Self-motivate and able to manage a team
• Able to work on multiple task and under pressure
• Committed to Human Rights, and follow Amnesty International’s principles and guideline
• Proven experience working with youths in Thai schools/ university and International Schools
