Position: Curative Health Care Coordinator
Duty Station: Mae Sariang town, Mae Hong Son province
Work locations: Mae Sariang and Sob Moei District, Mae Hong Son Province
Salary range: 60K - 80K THB + benefits (salary level will be set based on relevant experience, academic qualifications, and medical specialization)
Main Responsibilities/Duties
Provide coordination and overall supervision of curative health care services in the two target camps;
Provide specific technical support and guidance on medical issues to staff based both in Mae Sariang and in the camps;
Lead the curative health team in internal regular meetings/forums to coordinate the different groups to address common concerns and the coordination of staff and services;
Lead referral services and referral policy review to ensure cost-effective management and compliance of referral services.
Coordinate relevant supervisors in preparing timely for procurement of medical drugs, equipment consumables and laboratory equipment and consumables (focusing on quality, quantity, and appropriateness for use in the camps) to prevent stock-outs and wastage;
Take a lead role in outbreak situations in the camps with SRRT focal person & other relevant staff;
Ensure close coordination, patient follow-up and timely responses to IOM and UNHCR in relation to specific resettlement and MAF cases.
Ensure relevant HIS, Indicator, and target data is collected and analyzed correctly;
Contribute to the preparation and writing of timely and accurate donor reports;
Represent the office in medical/health-focused meetings, forums and similar events;
Provide regular internal reports as well as specific reports as instructed to Thai authorities.
Essential Qualifications/Skills:
Medical Doctor with registration in his/her own home country
At least 3-5 years of experience in managerial position in a humanitarian setting (preferably w/ previous experience in Thai-Myanmar refugee shelters), rural setting, refugee setting.
Excellent knowledge of Outbreak Response protocols.
Previous experience and strong ability to plan medical stock with minimum wastage & stock-out.
Excellent medical clinical skills and proven experience of such skills.
Organizational, managerial, and diplomatic skills
Strong teaching, training, and supervision skills
Fluent in English and Burmese language, Karen language is considered an advantage
Knowledge of Burma Border Guideline (BBG) for health care in the refugee shelters on the Thai-Myanmar border is considered an advantage
Possible starting date: as soon as possible.
