Vacancy for Sub-Grant Coordinator (Re-advertised)

Asia Pacific Forum on Women, Law and Development (APWLD) is currently inviting women from Asia Pacific countries with relevant experience and skills to apply for the position of Sub-Grant Coordinator. The successful applicant will work with our committed team and membership to track impact of the support APWLD provides to local movements and support those movements to document their experience and learning.

APWLD is a regional network of women’s organisations and activists in Asia Pacific, committed to women’s human rights and feminist movements. APWLD’s members are drawn from 26 countries and the Secretariat is based in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Selection Criteria

  • Demonstrated commitment to women’s rights and supporting grassroots movements in Asia Pacific;
  • A degree in social sciences, women’s studies, international development or similar qualifications;
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in monitoring and evaluation or project administration at national, regional or international levels.  Working experience with grassroots women’s and other civil society organisations preferred;
  • Demonstrated system management and organisational skills, especially with time-sensitive work;
  • Proficient ICT skills including ability to use diverse sub-grant/database/project management tools;
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse, membership driven network;
  • Ability to think and problem-solve creatively;
  • Excellent command of English language, both oral and written;
  • Good interpersonal skills, with ability to work in a multicultural environment and develop strong professional relationships with members and other stakeholders;

Remuneration

Salary range commences at the equivalent of USD 1,500 per month.  Other benefits include contributions to employment pension fund; housing allowance and relocation allowances for staff required to re-locate to Chiang Mai, Thailand.

The contract is for three years, with a probationary period of four months.

  2. Application letter that directly addresses each selection criteria of the position
  3. Three referees (at least two of which must be professional)
  4. Two samples of work which demonstrate the applicant’s knowledge and skills in the area
