Staff Health Officer/Medical Specialist
The ICRC regional delegation in Bangkok provides assistance to victims of violence and works with authorities in order to improve the conditions in detention facilities. It is covering operations in Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam. It also endeavours to promote and to strengthen humanitarian law and universal humanitarian principles.
The position holder will have the following responsibilities:
Job purpose:
- Counsel and guide staff on health related problems
- Ensure optimum access to care for employees and their families
- Maintain strict confidentiality with regard to all medical information
- Accountable and responsible for the implementation of all staff health activities in the ICRC sites under his/her responsibility in the following areas:
- Prevention
- Clinical care, emergencies and medical evacuations
- Stress management and crisis support
- Health insurances
- Medical information
- Monitoring and evaluation
Your education and experience:
- Qualified Nurse (Registered Nurse) with diploma or degree in medical science
- Minimum 3 to 4 year of experiences in similar function with staff supervision, with good references
- Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English
- Very good Computer skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Good organization skills, rigorous and precise
- Good knowledge of health issues in the region and useful network
Competencies requirements:

- Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment autonomous with sense of initiative
- High sense of confidentiality
- Flexible and resistance to stress
- Strong interpersonal skills
