Position: Voluntary Repatriation Coordinator (1 open position)
Handicap International (HI) seeks a VolRep Coordinator based in Mae Sot, Tak province, with frequent travel to all sites/ camps and occasionally to Yangon and Bangkok.

HI implements 4 projects in Thailand alongside Thai-Burma border: a) Risk Education in 9 camps, b) Disability and Social Inclusion in 5 camps, c) Growing Together and d) Rehabilitation project in 5 camps as well.
All projects implemented alongside Thailand-Burmese border are enrooted into the Myanmar & Thailand Regional Program Strategy for the period 2013-2017. It is expected to have a new operational strategy by the end of 2017.
The strategy aims at working alongside refugees’ people with disabilities and other vulnerable groups, responding to their essential needs, improving their living conditions and promoting respect for their dignity and fundamental rights.
All projects are managed by designated manager coached by the Operational Manager, Site Administrator and Country Manager in Thailand. Thailand mission is supported by the Regional team in Yangon for all issues related to logistic, administration, finance and accountancy as well as by the South-East Asia Regional Logistics Advisor who make regular visits to Thai mission.
VolRep Coordinator’s general mission:
The VolRep Coordinator will meet the needs of extensive collaboration and coordination with the main partners and stakeholders on Voluntary Repatriation preparedness and facilitated return to have a harmonized view of the preparations towards return promoting inclusion mainstreaming. He/she will be HI Focal Point on voluntary repatriation and will liaise with primary UNHCR and all NGOs and CBOs as well as HI projects’ teams. He/she directly reports to Country Manager and closely collaborate with Operational Coordinator.

CONDITIONS:
Status: national fixed-term working contract
Salary: 40,000 – 45,000 Baht gross salary/ month according to education and experience + 5% social security fund + life insurance + health & accident insurance cover + 2% seniority per year after one year of contract + 13th month salary on prorata of the number months’ work + 200 baht credit for mobile + 1.5 day of the annual leave for any month work
Start: July 2017
Duration: 1 year, renewable
