Introduction Bring the Elephant Home
The Asian elephant, a keystone species, is threatened with extinction as deforestation has destroyed much of its habitat, food supply and migration routes. As a result of our actions there is a good chance that we could soon lose a species that is an extremely important part of the ecosystem. The only way that we can save these magnificent keystone species is if we act now!
Bring the Elephant Home aims for an ideal world where elephants are afforded the space that they deserve. A habitat where ecosystems are balanced and where elephants and people live in harmony. We encourage local conservation leaders to coordinate conservation projects themselves. BTEH connects people, organizes training and provides the needed support to start community-based conservation projects. We make change happen, along with many stakeholders and volunteers. By planting thousands of trees, building water reservoirs, installing beehive fences to reduce human-elephant conflicts, and by using innovative conservation technology to better protect elephants. To coordinate these events, we are now looking for a Volunteer Coordinator.
Your role
Do you have a passion for wildlife conservation, are you a team leader and can you inspire people to get active to make the world a better place? If so, you might be the person we are looking for to join us as the new part-time volunteer coordinator.
