Programme officer (Youth & Education) 1 position

Location: Bangkok, Thailand

Start Date: As soon as possible

Compensation: Competitive salary with benefits (Performance bonus, 21 days annual leave, health insurace and provident fund) 

Reports to: Programme and Policy manager

ActionAid is an international organisation, working with over 25 million people in more than 40 countries for a world free from poverty and injustice. ActionAid Thailand (AAT) is part of the ActionAid International Federation and has been working with people and communities in Thailand for a decade addressing issues related to poverty,  human rights, education, and women’s and youth’s empowerment.

ActionAid Thailand is expanding its operations and looking for highly skills and motivated Thai nationals with good English communication skills to fill the following positions:

Programme Officer (Youth & Education)

The position provides necessary support to programme development in field of youth & education at country level, implementation and monitoring to ensure efficient and effective delivery of programme objectives in accordance with the country strategic paper and provide planning guidelines to partners on programme activities and ensure that they are in line with AAT’s strategic direction.

Qualification & Experience

• A Bachelor degree in Social sciences, economics, education or development studies.
• At least 5 years relevant experience in a multi-cultural working environment, preferably an NGO.
• Understanding of the systems, policies and issues of Youth & Education
• Understanding of the policies and issues related to Human Rights based approach, Youth & Education network development, Human Security and Poverty Reduction.
• Expertise on participatory methodologies and M&E
• Documenting, report writing and project training proposal skills are preferable
• Creative and dynamic personality and excellent teamwork capacity
• Networking skills and the capacity to train and mentor others
