Effective with the release of this position announcement, Winrock International is recruiting local applicants for the position of Trafficking Survivor Identification & Protection Manager for anticipated USAID-funded Thailand Counter Trafficking-in-Persons (TCTIP) project. The responsibilities, duties, and qualifications are described in the attached position description. Position is contingent upon receipt of donor funding.

Position Description

 

POSITION TITLE:                               Trafficking Survivor Identification & Protection Manager, Thailand Counter Trafficking in Persons (TCTIP)

LOCATION:                                         Bangkok, Thailand

DEPARTMENT:                                  Civic Engagement & Social Equity

REPORTS TO:                                    Chief of Party or Deputy Chief of Party

 

 

Position Summary:

The Trafficking Survivor Identification & Protection Manager will provide technical leadership in developing the project’s strategy for improved trafficking survivor identification, protection and reintegration. S/he will also lead collaboration with survivors, migrants, communities and other stakeholders to develop realistic and effective solutions for trafficking victim identification and assistance. The position is contingent upon receipt of donor funding.

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Trafficking Survivor Identification & Protection Manager will lead the development of strategies, processes and tools in trafficking victim identification, case management, reintegration and follow-up. S/he will also strengthen the capacity of relevant stakeholders in trafficking victim identification and support. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

  • Contribute to the development of project strategy and work plans;
  • Work with project and Winrock staff and partners to design and implement trafficking victim identification and protection approaches and to improve collaboration, referrals and joint actions by diverse stakeholders engaged in protection activities;
  • Provide technical assistance to CSO partners, RTG stakeholders, and communities for improved victim identification, survivor-driven, trauma-informed case management and assistance and support, including but not limited to legal and medical support, livelihoods, education, and psychosocial counseling; and community-based reintegration support;
  • Establish and maintain relationships with relevant intergovernmental, governmental, nongovernmental and private sector organizations to implement effective referral mechanism and services;
  • Coordinate with the USAID Asia CTIP program, a Winrock-implemented regional program working to strengthen cross-border efforts to combat TIP, in implementation of harmonized trafficking identification and assistance;
  • Contribute to project quarterly and other reports; and
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Education:           Bachelor or Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, International Development, Human Rights, or other related disciplines; or equivalent education and work experience required

 

Work Experience:

  • Minimum five years’ professional experience in the field of counter-human trafficking, labor migration, support services for victims of violence or similar groups;
  • In-depth understanding of the social, psychosocial, health, and economic aspects of survivor care and current survivor service providers;
  • Extensive experience in collaborative activities with relevant government agencies as well as local NGOs working on trafficking-related issues; and
  • Demonstrated training and capacity development experience.

 

Skills:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Thai are required;
  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet (preferably Microsoft Access and Excel), and presentation software (Microsoft PowerPoint).
  • Readiness to travel frequently

The annual salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Excellent benefits.
