Job Advertisement: Project Coordinator – Healthy Sexuality (The Story of Love)

 

Plan is an international humanitarian, child-centered development organization, implementing development programs that promote the realization and fulfilment of children’s rights and the alleviation of child poverty.

 

Position:  Project Coordinator – Healthy Sexuality (The Story of Love)

 

Assignment duration: One year contract with likely extension

Duty station: Mae Sod, Tak province

JOB BACKGROUND: The Project Coordinator will manage and facilitate the plan, implementation, monitoring, and assessment the project as assignment with the Project Steering Committee, and the Project Coordination Team together with partners/communities/ relevant GOs and NGOs to meet aims, objectives, and expectations of the project as outlined in the project proposal and in accordance with Plan policies and procedures.

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Facilitate & coordinate with the Project Steering Committee, the Project Coordination Team, and Project Manager for projects management /evaluation planning/monitoring/and reporting
  • Implement activities as per operational and action plans though involvement of all stakeholders and local NGOs in accordance with outlined project proposal.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with communities/partners/counterpart agencies to ensure effective implementation of project activities including service delivery. This will entail organizing formal and informal meetings with all counterpart agencies and monitoring the project.
  • Facilitate and coordinate the training, awareness raising, and capacity building to children, communities and concern parties on Child rights and child protection.
  • Revise and review both project progress towards stated activities and outputs mentioned in the project work plan and a detailed implementation plan and financial situations.
  • Assist to prepare progress and financial reports of project.

ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor degree in Social Science, Public Health, or related fields; Minimum 2-3 year experience in management of migrant and related project or other social development projects; Good written and oral communication skills in Thai and English; Facilitating and Training skills; Good understanding of migrant culture along Thai Myanmar border is an advantage
