Job Re-Advertisement: Project Manager - 4 CA Project

Position:  Re-Advisement Project Manager – 4CA Project

Assignment duration: One year contract with likely extension

Duty station: Chiang Rai

JOB BACKGROUND: Project Manager will be a part of DRM team. This position will lead and manage the Child-centered Climate Change Adaptation (4CA) project which includes planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting the target schools, communities, relevant GOs and NGOs to meet the project’s goals, objectives and expectations as outlined in the project proposal and in accordance with Plan policies and procedures.

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage overall project implementation, planning, reporting and operational plans;
• Oversee a staff of eight with an annual budget of approximately 200,000 Euro per year;
• Facilitate activity’s trainings and meeting as well as coordination on project implementations and relevant stakeholders of GOs and NGOs;
• Monitor the implementation of activities as operational action plans as outlined project proposal including capacity building assessment and timely quality reporting.
• Ensure project activities are implemented in accordance with project timeline and implementation outline

ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in development studies, social sciences, environment studies, or other relevant area; At least four years’ experience in project management related to climate change, preferably with an INGO;  Fluent in English; Computer literate; Training facilitation and working with children, youth and communities an added advantage; Indigenous language skills also an added advantage
