Field Coordinator – Chiva Pa Doi Project (Based in Chiangmai)

Position :      Field Coordinator – Chiva Pa Doi Project (Based in Chiangmai)

 

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Assess relevance and effectiveness of the project’s strategy and approaches for the achievement of the project objectives;
  2. Prepare and update project annual and quarterly work plans.
  3. Draft TORs for key inputs (i.e. personnel, sub-contracts, training, and procurement)
  4. Provide technical advice to project beneficiaries, review technical reports and monitor technical activities carried out by responsible parties.
  5. Assumes direct responsibility for managing the project budget by ensuring that:
    • project funds are disbursed properly;
    • expenditure is in accordance with the project document and project work plans;
    • accounting records and supporting documents are properly kept and financial reports are prepared;
    • Financial operations are transparent and financial procedures/regulations are properly applied.
  1. Assess the project intervention impacts on women’s empowerment and the dissemination of this in their communities
  2. Prepare project progress reports and the project final report, as well as review meetings and evaluation missions.
  3. Analyze underlying factors beyond CARE control that affect the achievement of the project results;
  4. Provide recommendations to key project stakeholders for follow-up activities.

 

Qualifications:

  • University degree with knowledge in agricultural value chain, local market development, business development and marketing.
  • Knowledge in Food Science and environmentally friendly products is an asset.
  • Extensive experience in project management, planning and implementation, familiarity with donor funded development projects;
  • Strong analytical skills, oral and written communication and team building skills;
  • Substantial experience in leading teams;
  • Sound experience in participatory review and evaluation methodologies.
  • The ability to conduct interviews / discussions in English and Thai.
  • Familiarity with Northern Thailand.
  • Good eye for detail, observance to logic.
  • Strong presentation, facilitating, communication and reporting skills.
