You will be joining the multi disciplinary team of Friends-International’s program called Peuan Peuan, comprised of more than 30 professionals committed to achieving best quality and innovative holistic service for youth children and families in Bangkok and Aranyaprathet.

What will you do?

As a Senior Accountant you will be managing our accounting systems for donor and business projects and ensuring complete transparency of all our spending and money management.

This includes supervising all financial transactions for both social and business activities, providing financial administrative support to the team that will ensure our social services are running smoothly and preparing finance reports.

Ongoing responsibilities include:

• Ensure all program staff follow the Finance Policy and Procedures, whilst also maintaining a support role, through effective communication
• Prepare monthly payroll
• Ensure expense vouchers are validated
• Support and manage the Junior Accountant
• Examine and authorize payment of all invoices
• Data entry of daily transactions into QuickBooks accounting software
• Provide internal monthly reports including; donor budget, actual and accumulative financial statements
• Prepare external donor reports in accordance with contractual deadlines
• Management of annual external audit as well as any project audits
• Support managers to manage and monitor their budgets on a timely basis

About you:

• You are an independent and dynamic team worker, passionate about supporting others and ensuring administration process is running well
• You have proven experience in running an accounting system in a not-for profit environment
• You have strong interest in social work programs and/or working for to provide support for marginalized youth, children and families
• You master working Thai and your English speaking and writing is good
• You know your way around computers and social media

You will be our full time employee, based in Bangkok.

Friends-International (FI) is a social enterprise that works with marginalized urban children and youth, their families and communities, to help them become independent and productive citizens of their country.

FI started Peuan Peuan back in 2005, which is our program in Thailand mainly working with migrant children from Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia. Our program is expanding rapidly into working with the communities, supporting in finding employment and supporting families with income generation projects. We have developed a holistic social integration cycle that is based on individual and community needs to achieve best practice methods directly or in collaboration with partners.
