ICT Help Desk Technician
Full-time (100%)
The ICRC regional delegation in Bangkok provides assistance to victims of violence and works with authorities in order to improve the conditions in detention facilities. It is covering operations in Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam. It also endeavours to promote and to strengthen humanitarian law and universal humanitarian principles.
Under the supervision of Head of ICT Unit, ICT Help Desk Technician will be dealing with first level ICT support as part of the Bangkok Regional ICT team.
Job purpose
The position holder will have the following responsibilities:
- To provide first level ICT support on site for Bangkok Office users or remote sites
- To register incoming requests on Help Desk Ticketing Tool
- To solve user requests according to procedures and knowledge base
- To escalate unsolvable requests by 1st level to Level 2 support
- To install hardware and software and support users work place
- To perform administrative tasks for ICT and its relating activities
- To maintain contacts with external interlocutors
- To generate reporting on Help Desk Services
- To ensure follow up and updates of specific files independently
Your education and experience:
- Technical college or University degree in ICT or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years work experience in a similar field
- Good command of written and spoken Thai and English
- Good knowledge on LAN/WAN, MS Windows Server /Client Systems, MS Office package etc.
- Practical skills on ICT Hardware installation and troubleshooting (LAN patching, computer / printer hardware, telecom equipment etc)
- ITIL certification is an asset

- Willingness of self-educated in ICT related fields
- Capacity to work independently and within a team
- Able to travel within region
