Local Consultant Teach a Man to Fish (TAMTF) Mae Sot, Thailand

TAMTF is looking for a local consultant to support with the project delivery of helping Migrant Learning Centres (MLCs) set up school businesses under Save the Children’s project: Improving Migrant Protection and Assistance for Children in Thailand’ (IMPACT) 

The ‘Improving Migrant Protection and Assistance for Children in Thailand’ (IMPACT) project, led by Save the Children, aims to develop local child protection mechanisms that are relevant to government policy framework, and integrate these into existing child protection systems so migrant children can live within an effective protection system and have access to effective care, education and health services.

Under this project, Save the Children has contracted Teach a Man to Fish (TAMTF) to enhance the financial sustainability and self-sufficiency of migrant learning centres in Mae Sot to addresses their financial gaps and in turn their risk of closure. The overarching goal is to improve the financial sustainability of participating Migrant Learning Centres through TAMTF’s School-business Model and have a workable model that may contribute toward addressing the current funding gaps.

The successful candidate will assist TAMTF with providing on the ground support to MLCs throughout the process of researching, planning and setting up sustainable businesses, from 20 February 2017 – end of November 2017.
