VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
We are currently seeking a to provide leadership, direction and coordination of the human resources and administration function of HelpAge in Asia.
Position: Regional Human Resources & Administration Manager
Work base: Asia Regional Office in Chiang Mai, Thailand with frequent travel to countries in the region
Salary: Competitive
Contract length: 2 years (with possible extension)

We are the secretariat of the HelpAge network, bringing together more than 114 affiliates and 200 partners working with older people in over 50 countries.
Job purpose and key responsibilities: Responsible for the overall leadership, direction and coordination of the human resources and administration function of HelpAge in Asia region, which included the development of human resources systems; implementation of HR policies and practices to be applied and followed consistently across the region and in country offices; the establishment of effective and efficient operational system including logistics, IT and administration functions in Asia regional office.
Essential skills, knowledge and experience:
-Thai national;
-A minimum of 6 years of experience in management role particularly implementing HR strategies at least at country level
-Excellent knowledge and skills in developing HR system and policies, formulating compensation and benefit package, staff development, employee relations and change management;
-Experience in managing operational services such as logistics, IT, procurement and administration;
-Knowledge and experience of working in different countries across Asia;
-Excellent communication skills and ability to work at regional level;
-Experience in coordination of staff development processes using diverse approaches
-Skills to train and support HR staff and also managers on a range of HR related issues;
-Proven problem solving skills and the ability to influence others to achieve successful outcomes;
-Good people management skills and the ability to solve sensitive issues decisively while respecting procedures and line management structures;
-Proven attention for detail and ability to effectively manage a high volume of data and information;
-Budget management experience and strong levels of financial literacy;
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to handle difficult conversations with tact and diplomacy;
-Fluent written and spoken English language;
-Able and willing to travel within the region.
