Job purpose
Take a lead role in creating and maintaining internal and external communications to assist in the execution of the fundraising & communication strategy for Help without Frontiers Thailand Foundation (HwF-TH).
Duties and responsibilities
- Develop key promotional message in consultation with the Fundraising and Communication manager and the project teams.
- Lead and assist in conducting awareness raising and fundraising campaigns, events, information dissemination workshops, etc. for key-stakeholders.
- Create, maintain and update website content.
- Participate in donor visits for showcasing projects progress and achievements
- Assist in the development of funding proposals.
- Undertake sporadic field visits to liaise with key-stakeholders and monitor project progress and identify future opportunities.
- Maintain a documentation management system (hard copy and network)
- The officer may be required to perform duties that are beyond the scope of the job description in mutual discussion and agreement with the supervisor.
Qualifications
- A university degree in Social Science/Mass Communication.
- Professional work experience in designing and executing communication activities, preferably in development programs.
- Ability to work in a team, with other NGOs, government officials, grant-making organizations and community members, as well as sometimes tight deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to speak, listen, read, and write at a professional level in two languages: English, Thai (ability to communicate in Burmese a plus).
- Knowledge of, and experience with, media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods. This includes creative and alternative way to inform and entertain via written, oral, and visual media.
- Proficient in working with common design programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe InDesign.
- Experience in Social Media / Online marketing.
- Knowledge of, and/or experience in, working with content management systems (Drupal, WordPress, Joomla, etc.) is seen as a plus.
- Ability to communicate with people outside the organization, representing the organization to beneficiaries, the public, authorities and other external parties. This information can be exchanged in person, in writing, or by telephone or e-mail.
- Ability to create new ideas, relationships, systems, or products; including creative contributions.
- Experience of working with local NGOs, INGOs and government bodies, in particular along the Thai-Myanmar/Burma would be considered as an advantage.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Driver’s license is a plus.
The post holder is required to carry out duties in accordance with HwF-TH Child Protection and corporate policies and procedures.
