Position:  Program Unit (PU) Accountant

Assignment duration: One year contract with likely extension

Duty station: Chiang Rai

JOB BACKGROUND: The PU Accountant is responsible for overseeing all financial tasks in the Program Unit.  He/she will support the Program Unit and provide timely, accurate and analytical financial information to the Program Unit Manager and others.

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Budget management and analysis; full cost recovery; record keeping; financial reports, use of SAP; monthly, quarterly and yearend financial reporting; cash management; Account reconciliation including bank; overall financial management at the PU level. Support Finance manager for period closing and audit.

ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor degree in finance, accounting, or business administration; minimum four years’ experience in financial management, accounting or internal control preferably with NGOs; strong leadership skills; good English skills; experience with SAP an added advantage.
