Project: Strengthening the Protection and Legal Status of Myanmar Children on the Move

Location: Thailand (Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Tak, Mae Hong Son) & Myanmar (Shan, Karen, Karenni States)

Scope of Work

TDH Germany is hiring a consultant/team to conduct a feasibility study for a proposed BMZ-co-financed project (2027–2030). The study will evaluate the project's design, context, partner capacities, target groups, and OECD-DAC criteria (focusing on Relevance, Coherence, and Effectiveness) to guide project refinement and submission. Key methodologies include desk review, 15 days of field research (KIIs, FGDs, surveys), and a follow-up findings workshop.

Required Deliverables

• Inception Report & Research Plan
• Draft Feasibility Study Report
• Workshop facilitation & presentation of findings
• Final Report (max 30 pages + annexes) with stakeholder matrix and concrete recommendations

Key Requirements

• Proven experience conducting feasibility studies/evaluations using mixed-methods, child-friendly, and participatory approaches.
• Deep knowledge of child rights, legal status, and socio-economic dynamics along the Thailand–Myanmar border.
• Familiarity with German BMZ project funding requirements.
• Professional English proficiency (local language skills preferred).
• Full compliance with TDH Child Safeguarding, PSEAH, and EU-GDPR policies.
